Professor/Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor in Architecture

    Opportunity to join and shape a unique, progressive and growing College of Architecture in Kerala. KMEA College of Architecture is one of the new schools of architecture set up in 2013. It currently offers                               undergraduate programme in architecture with an ambition to set up masters and PhD programmes in the future.
 
     Applications are invited from enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated applicants with experience in teaching for the positions of a Professor (1), Assistant or Associate Professor (2)  with expertise in the areas of                  History and Theory, Parametric Design, or Architectural Design. The applicants are expected to have a keen interest in teaching and research their areas of expertise. The successful candidate will be located in our              campus in Aluva, Kerala India.
 
     All position will have to meet the person specification as prescribed by Council of Architecture, India for the role. However, it is expected that the candidates for
 
    1.  Professorial position will hold a PhD degree or equivalent professional experience with expertise in History and Theory, Parametric Design, or Architectural Design
    2. Associate Professor will hold a Master’s degree in relevant discipline with expertise in History and Theory, Parametric Design, or Architectural Design
    3. Assistant Professor will hold a undergraduate degree in Architecture along with 5-6 years professional or teaching experience in Parametric Design, or Architectural Design
 
    The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate programmes, participate in assessing and examining students, pursue research in their areas of             expertise. Successful applicant will have an excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex and conceptual ideas to their peers and to students, using a range of media.        The role holder should independently plan and deliver high quality as agreed with the Principle of KMEA College of Architecture.

Model Making Tutor

     Applications are invited from enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated applicants with experience in architectural model making and workshop management. The successful candidate will be located in our campus in           Aluva, Kerala India.
 
     All position will have to meet the person specification as prescribed by Council of Architecture, India for the role. it is expected that the candidates for this position will hold a  diploma, degree or master’s degree in             industrial design or product design or equivalent work experience with portfolio of work in model making, prototyping. The candidate should be knowledgeable about model making workshop equipment’s, its uses,          management of workshop and will be responsible for the health and safety of the students while they work in the workshop. 
 
     The successful candidate will be expected to specify and develop a new model making workshop for the KMEA College of Architecture, develop training and induction programme for students to use workshop                     equipment, provide advisory support to students in making models. Successful applicant will have good communication skills. The role holder should work independently and report to Technology Stream Leader at           KMEA College of Architecture.
