Bachelor of Architecture, B. Arch is a five year graduate program in Architecture. The program is structured for five years and is divided into two stages. The first stage consists of three years of full time study followed by practical training in professional offices or at construction sites for 1 year. Along with the practical training the students are required to write a research based dissertation. The second stage consists of full time study for one year focusing on advanced level of compulsory and elective theory courses. During the final semester each student is required to present a design thesis. The course seeks students having skills in drawing, writing, exploration of the given topic, practical and managerial ability in identifying and solving problems.
The candidates shall be eligible for registration under the Architects Act, 1972 only after successful completion of both the stages.
The course should be completed within a period of 10 years since his/her first admission to B.Arch programme for the award of the degree.
