K-ARC

KCoA Architectural Research and Consultancy, or K-ARC, is formed to manage the research and consultancy projects that are undertaken by the college. It functions under the directorship of the academic and advisory board members of KCoA. It consists of four verticals that are managed by a team of faculty members and students. K ARC also manages the KCOA Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC). K-ARC Vision K-ARC aims to become an expert agency that connects academic activities to industry needs. It envisages building a database on selected areas of social and environmental significance and acting as a nodal point for the development of the living environment. K-ARC Mission To formulate and acquire research and consultancy projects that connect academics to industry. To provide a platform for the faculty and students to pursue their core interests in advanced applications through research and consultation projects. To elevate the academic expertise of KCoA to international arenas and publish valuable and original research. To establish as a research and consultancy providing services of global standards.

Centre for Human Ecology and Environmental Resilience

Centre for Human Ecology and Environmental Sustainability (CHEER) stands for research projects that address the interaction between people and their living environment. It encompasses a broad study area that deals with several relationships that are formed within the ecological system and enquires about specific situations for design interventions.

Centre for Advanced Technology in Architecture

Centre for Advanced Technology in Architecture (CATA) stands for research projects that address technological advancements in the field of architecture. It gives particular importance to the use of advanced software for better design understanding and solutions. It also looks at the application of artificial intelligence, sensory automation, robotics, etc. in the field of architecture.

Centre for Architectural Theory, History and Pedagogy

Centre for Architectural Theory, History, and Pedagogy (CATHP) stands for theoretical advancements in architecture and design. It looks at theory building and testing, advancements and innovations in teaching methods, and the documentation and conservation of environments of historical significance.

Innovation and Entrepreneur Development Centre (IEDC)

Innovation and Entrepreneur Development Centre (IEDC) has been established at KCoA under the guidance of the Kerala Startup Mission to enable the students to explore and pursue their special interests. Students are encouraged to create startups using their ideas, and they are provided with relevant mentors through the IEDC. It is a student-run entity of K-ARC and is completely managed by students under seven leadership roles.
