Biography

Minu Ramachandran is an architect and environmental planner with 15 years of work experience in the fields of architecture, environmental planning and teaching. She has worked as Environmental Planner in MNCs like Gerzhi Eastern Limited, Mumbai and Tata Consultancy Services, Hyderabad. As architect she has worked in Design Hilite and Kumar group-total designers, Cochin. Her teaching experience started at Vaishnavi School of Architecture and Planning, Hyderabad in 2015 before joining KMEA college of architecture in 2018. She completed her B.Arch, from College of Engineering Trivandrum and M.Plan, from Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology, Ahmedabad. 

With a vibrant, multifaceted personality she has handled diverse and multiple roles as architect, environmental planner, self development trainer, environmental management system process specialist, environmental auditor, energy healer, yoga instructor, conference coordinator and teacher. 

Major area of her work is focused on sustainable development, to ensure perpetuation of human race through sustainable lifestyle and ecocentric green built environment. She has spearheaded the environment management system and occupational health and safety management system process implementation in 4 TCS offices  in Hyderabad. Green building rating and carbon footprint reduction are some other related areas of work. As part of Kerala Sustainable Urban Development Project she was involved in developing a sustainable waste management system for Cochin and Kollam municipality.  In KMEA college of Architecture she teaches and encourages sustainable building practices and technology in design.  She has also worked as coordinator for an international conference on town planning and development-Municipalika. 

She pioneered the establishment of Compassionate Holistic Energy Solutions, Hyderabad in 2013 to further her work as architect and self development trainer. Driven by the life philosophy of integrating the different components of life such as energy, people and environment; To see them as part of each other and share the experience of unity with society through architecture, education and protection of the natural environment. Holistic development of an individual including physical health, management of emotions, mental wellbeing, character building, energy and consciousness upliftment are emphasised in her self development trainings. She conducts stress management, leadership and personality development sessions for KCOA students to support their well rounded personal and professional development.
