Biography

Ar Thanseem is an Assistant Professor in KMEA College of Architecture, Aluva. She is an Architect, Urban Designer with 4 years of Experience in teaching. Her background includes experience in Architecture, Urban Design, Architectural research and Education. She works as a freelance Architect in Kochi and her practice focuses on residential architecture. Her research interests include child friendly spaces, inclusive architecture and urban design. Before joining KMEA COA, she worked in Perinthalmanna as Assistant Professor in Al Salama Institute of Architecture

Teaching

Thanseem started her teaching career at Al Salama Institute of Architecture, Perinthalmanna. She was part of the first year Design Team and experimented with Design subjects. She was integral part of the founding team of the semester publication – Akriti. After completion of post graduation in Urban Design in 2016, she joined KMEA College of Architecture. She is part of the first year design studio and urban design studio. She also handles subjects like Architectural Graphics, Building materials and contruction, building services.

Experience

Thanseem is currently working on her architectural research. She has 4 years of teaching experience and has taken up coordinator roles in various activities. In private practice she focuses on residential architecture and child friendly spaces. She is closely associated with design of few schools in Ernakulam.
